Last week, our school celebrated the 107th anniversary of Poland’s regaining independence. Students prepared exceptional “living pictures,” recreating scenes inspired by famous works of art, including the graphics of Artur Grottger and the historical paintings of Jan Matejko. Their performances offered not only artistic interpretations of key historical moments but also insightful presentations highlighting the importance of this special day for Poland and its people. The celebration was complemented by handmade patriotic rosettes and an exhibition dedicated to the events that led to Poland’s independence.

We were also delighted to host students from Wroclaw International School (MYP 1), who are currently exploring Polish holidays and traditions as part of their Individuals and Societies unit.

We would like to thank all teachers and students for their creativity, enthusiasm, and contribution to organizing this meaningful event that fosters a sense of history and patriotism.
