We are delighted to announce that the International High School of Wrocław has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Eco Schools Award – a high-level international distinction granted to schools around the world for their consistent efforts in environmental protection and sustainable development.
This exceptional achievement was made possible thanks to the close collaboration between our school and its sister schools: ATUT Bilingual Primary School and Wroclaw International School. Together, we form a strong and united educational community that strives to inspire young people to learn and act with ecological responsibility and to make a real impact on the world around them.
Over the past few years, our high school students have been actively involved in a variety of environmental projects – from creating gardens and building habitats for insects and birds to running awareness campaigns about recycling, saving energy, and reducing plastic use. It was their commitment, creativity, and consistency that contributed to earning this international recognition.
We are proud that, together with ATUT and WIS, we are the first international-profile schools in Wrocław – and among the first in Poland – to receive the Green Flag certification.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all students, teachers, and parents for their shared efforts. Special thanks go to the members of our Sustainability Committee:
- Ms. Olivia Dycewicz (ATUT)
- Ms. Karolina Sandak (ATUT/MLO)
- Ms. Jill Bieniek (WIS)
- Mr. Jordan Hughes (WIS)
This is just the beginning of our green journey! We move forward with energy and the strong belief that every step toward sustainability truly matters.
