In June, students from the MLO and several eighth graders from the ATUT Bilingual Primary School took part in a unique study trip to the United Kingdom. The program was rich with visits to places of great scientific, cultural, and historical significance – all designed to develop language skills and provide a close-up experience of the culture of English-speaking countries.
The journey began in Cambridge, where students learned about the history of one of the world’s most prestigious universities and its famous alumni. The next stop was the picturesque Norfolk, which the students admired from the deck of a boat. Afterwards, they visited Norwich and Oxford – another academic gem of the UK – and are currently exploring London with its iconic landmarks and places connected to British science, art, and history.
This study trip is more than just a school excursion – it’s a living lesson in history, geography, culture, and the English language. The students have the chance to experience everyday life in an English-speaking country, develop their language skills in a natural context, and broaden their horizons – both academically and personally.
We thank the teachers and chaperones for organizing the trip and providing daily updates, allowing us to follow this extraordinary journey almost in real time.
