We are opening a new chapter in German language education.
We are pleased to announce that the International High School of Wrocław has signed an agreement with the Goethe-Institut in Warsaw as part of the “Deutsch Plus” project. By joining the initiative, we become part of a network of more than 200 Polish schools actively promoting German as a foreign language.
For us, this is a natural step forward. For many years, we have placed a strong emphasis on language education. German, taught as a second foreign language, is offered in a greater number of hours than required by the national curriculum. Our students also regularly participate in projects that explore the culture, history, and everyday life of German-speaking countries.
Membership in the “Deutsch Plus” network opens up new opportunities for our school community, including:
- participation in German-language projects, programmes, and competitions,
- access to educational materials and initiatives provided by the Goethe-Institut,
- cooperation with partner schools in Poland and abroad.
Our German language teachers will also benefit from the network through professional development opportunities, training courses, and the exchange of experience and best practices with fellow educators.
We believe that learning foreign languages is not only about communication skills, but also about developing openness to other cultures and new perspectives. We are delighted to continue this mission in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut and look forward to the opportunities this partnership will bring.
